Case Study for RealTech Wildlife LLC
Introduction:
Industry: Wildlife removal and animal control
Location: Upstate South Carolina
Tools: WordPress, Elementor, Google Search Console, GA4, Screaming Frog
Project overview
I rebuilt and optimized the website for Real Tech Wildlife, a local wildlife removal business serving the Upstate South Carolina area. My work focused on improving website structure, targeting relevant local service searches, implementing on-page and technical SEO improvements, and establishing performance tracking.
During the initial approximately 60-day reporting period, Google Search Console recorded 53 organic search clicks and 703 impressions, with an average search position of 10.3. These early results provide a baseline for continued optimization and performance monitoring.
This page is to demonstrate my experience working with a local wildlife removal company, Real Tech Wildlife LLC. The goal was to increase the companies presence in the digital world by ranking higher for SEO through clicks, impressions, and average positioning. The owner, John, gave me complete access to the website and trusted me to make strategic improvements that would strengthen its performance and competitiveness within his niche. His original website he had created with GoDaddy.I then migrated the domain and hosting infrastructure from GoDaddy to NameCheap to unlock advanced CMS features, improve page load speeds, and leverage technical SEO optimization tools via WordPress. . I roughly started working with John 8/13/26 and since working with him have seen steady improvement in clicks, impressions, and his average position. Below are some before photos I screenshot of his GoDaddy site.

After switching everything over to WordPress.org, my first objective was to create a few basic pages which evolved substantially over the following weeks. After I had my home page made, I linked it to Google Search Console and Analytics using Google tag manager (8/13/2026). Now that I was able to track metrics, my next objective was to do a competitor analysis of the top wildlife companies in the area. I determined that Johns first website had lacked a logo, phone number at the top and bottom of page, reviews, a professional about page, the animals serviced with dedicated landing pages, and an areas serviced section, proper headlines, and much much more. I then used google keyword planner, Also Asked, Google Search Console, and my competitor analysis to come up with a list of keywords and phrases to incorporate on the website. Below are the first metrics I tracked using GSC on 8/29/26. This is also the date i submitted a sitemap to GSC and requested indexing.

My next update (9/3/2026) involved me adding photos of several of the top animals Real Tech services with a text that appears upon hover which describes signs you might have an issue and what type of issues they can pose to the home or your health. I added descriptive hover text to the animal images to provide additional content for visitors and improve the page’s informational value and usability.

On 9/7/2026, I embedded a simple contact form and got it functioning properly on his home page.
On 9/12/2026 I added RealTechs 1st Blog post. I developed informational content targeting relevant search questions and localized search intent, with the goal of exanding the site’s organic visibility beyond its existing pages. I also updated the Title and Meta Descriptions on 9/13/2026.

On 9/20/2026 I added the second blog post article. By targeting localized keywords I was able to trigger hyper-local search intent. Notice average positioning, clicks, and impressions still climbing nicely.

On 9/23/2026 I added a designated landing page for bats.

Update — 09/27/2026: I noticed that Real Tech was already ranking for the search query “bat exterminator.” To capitalize on this existing visibility and potentially drive more organic traffic, I incorporated the keyword naturally into the page copy underneath the heading “Looking for a Bat Exterminator Near You?”

Update – 10/04/2026: By checking GSC for queries, I noticed that Realtech got impressions/clicks around “snake removal near me” and “snake exterminator.” I updated my snake landing page to include questions and answers in a problem and solution format.

Update – 10/11/2026:To improve pagination and customer experience, I added a designated contact page.

I noticed a slight dip in RealTech’s average position and CTR this week, though total impressions increased. To investigate, I used Google Search Console to audit my ranking queries against actual traffic patterns.
- Localized Targeting: Removed the broad keyword “Upstate” due to low local search volume. Replaced it with highly targeted, city-specific terms: Spartanburg and Greenville.
- Meta Description Update: Shifted the meta description focus from “Wildlife Removal in Upstate SC” to “Spartanburg & Greenville Wildlife Removal” to better align with localized user intent.
- Content Expansion: Identified missed keyword opportunities for high-intent search terms like “professional” and “commercial.” Expanded the homepage copy to naturally weave these commercial terms and a new service section into the text.
